I purchased land from a broker, trusting him completely. I paid 22 lakhs for it, without checking the details properly. Now, I want to sell it, but I’ve learned I was tricked. The land was actually worth only 7 lakhs at the time. Neither government nor private valuations match what I paid. The Patwari is also being difficult, demanding money and repeatedly measuring the land. It feels like a big scam.

Under Indian law, you have grounds to challenge the transaction due to misrepresentation by the broker. You may be able to file a legal suit seeking compensation for the difference in the actual and paid value. Consult a lawyer to understand your specific legal options and proceed accordingly.
