I bought a flat under construction in Pune back in 2015, with a promised delivery date of December that year. It’s now years later and I still haven’t received possession. My agreement clearly states a 9% interest payment for any delays. The builder is ignoring my calls and emails. When I finally got through, they said they’ll only pay compensation if I don’t want the flat! This is completely unfair and not in our contract. I want to get my flat and the compensation I’m owed. What legal steps can I take?
Best Answer
You can file a consumer complaint before the Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum in Pune. You can also file a civil suit in the court seeking specific performance of the agreement and payment of the agreed compensation. You can also explore options like sending a legal notice to the builder demanding possession and compensation.
