Dear Sir,
I own a 60 square meter builder floor on the second floor in Rohini Sector 24, with roof rights. I’d like to know if I can build a third floor on my property since it’s freehold and I have roof rights. If yes, what’s the procedure? Do I need permission from the other floor owners in the same building, considering most buildings in the area are already three floors high?

Under Indian law, you may be able to build a third floor, but you’ll need to obtain necessary permissions from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. This involves submitting plans for approval and complying with building regulations. You may also need the consent of other floor owners if your building’s bylaws require it.
