As a Hindu widow, my son passed away in February 2007 without children. His wife remarried in January 2008. Can I claim a share of his property?

Under the Hindu Succession Act, as the mother of your deceased son, you are entitled to a share of his property. Your son’s wife remarrying in 2008 does not affect your right to inherit, as she would have inherited her husband’s property at the time of his death in 2007.
