My father had an accident on the 15th of May last year. I only got the police report on the 25th of June. The officer hinted that he could change the report and blame my father if I didn’t pay him. Is this even possible?

No, it is illegal for a police officer to tamper with a report or blame your father for the accident in exchange for payment. This constitutes bribery and extortion, which are serious offenses under Indian law. You should report this incident to a senior police officer or the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
