Under Indian law, a doctor has a duty to obtain informed consent from the patient or their legal guardian before any medical procedure. Since the doctor did not inform you about the stitches, he violated this duty. You can file a complaint with the Medical Council of India and consider legal action for medical negligence. It’s advisable to consult a lawyer to understand your specific rights and options.
