My family lives in a chawl, and we share a total area of 4 guntha. The main landlord sadly passed away when his son was just 3 years old. Now, his son’s sisters and their children have their names registered in the 7/12 document. Is this legally correct?

Based on Indian law, the son’s sisters and their children may not be legally entitled to the property if the 7/12 document was registered without a court-appointed guardian for the son during his minority. A court would usually appoint a guardian for the minor’s property rights. Further legal investigation is recommended to determine the validity of the registration.
