My family and I used to live in a beautiful three-storey home, but sadly, heavy rains caused it to become unsafe. We’ve been forced to stay in a rented place while the house is declared unsafe, but our tenant refuses to leave. He’s known for causing trouble and has several cases against him. We want to rebuild our home, but he’s not leaving and hasn’t paid rent in years. The lease was signed with his parents, who have unfortunately passed away. What are our options? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can file an eviction case against the tenant in a civil court, citing breach of lease agreement due to non-payment of rent and the house being unsafe. You can also seek a court order to vacate the property based on the tenant’s history of causing trouble and the house’s current condition.
