My previous company had a 3-month notice period policy. I left without serving it. Now, they want 3 months’ full salary for the experience letter. This seems unfair, as I haven’t heard of other companies doing this. Is there any legal help I can get to challenge this?

Indian law allows employers to deduct salary for notice period violation. However, they can’t demand full salary without proving actual losses. You can challenge this demand by showing evidence of your efforts to find another job during the notice period, and negotiate a reasonable deduction. Consult a lawyer for specific legal advice.
