My office environment has become very stressful and I’m unable to cope. I signed a two-year contract, but had to resign early. They refused my last month’s salary, but I agreed as long as I got a relieving letter. They promised it within a few days, but it’s been over two weeks and they’re now refusing to give me anything. I’m stuck, what can I do?

You have the right to claim your last month’s salary and a relieving letter. You can file a complaint with the Labor Department or approach a lawyer to help you recover your dues. Since your contract was for two years, you might need to prove that the stressful environment was beyond your control to justify early resignation.
