Your neighbor can file a complaint with the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner (RPFC) alleging non-payment of PF contributions. She can also approach the labour commissioner for assistance in recovering her dues. The consultancy’s refusal to provide a PF number is a violation of labor laws, and your neighbor can legally demand it to access her PF funds.
