You are within your rights to file an RTI and appeal, and your unit’s actions appear to be retaliatory. You can escalate the issue by contacting the Chief of Naval Staff or filing a complaint with the Central Information Commission. You should also consult with a lawyer specializing in military law to understand your legal options and protect your rights.
