I’ve been working for the Rajasthan government for the past three years. Recently, I got selected for another government job. If I resign now and the government implements the 7th Pay Commission with effect from January 1, 2016, would I be eligible for the arrears of the 7th Pay Commission? I worked for more than a year after January 1, 2016. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You would not be eligible for arrears of the 7th Pay Commission. Even though you worked for over a year after January 1, 2016, you are no longer a government employee. Arrears are typically only payable to current employees who were on the government payroll during the period when the pay commission was implemented.
