I worked for a software company for almost a year. On December 19th, I had an accident and couldn’t work. I stayed in touch with my manager throughout. However, due to some personal differences, he claimed I had absconded from work, even after showing medical proof. Despite my pleas and my return to work on January 11th, the company wouldn’t listen. They forced me to leave, withheld my December salary, and now won’t release my provident fund. I never wanted to leave; they forced me out. What can I do to get my salary and PF released? Please guide me.

You can file a complaint with the Labour Commissioner against your former employer for wrongful termination, non-payment of salary, and non-release of Provident Fund. You should also submit a written representation to your former employer requesting your salary and PF release. You can also seek legal counsel to assist you in pursuing these claims.
