I work at a big multinational company in India. My girlfriend also works there. I found out she was seeing someone else and we had a big argument at the office. The next day, she accused me of physically hurting her, which isn’t true. HR sent me an email saying I can’t come to work until they investigate. They haven’t told me their policy or who made the complaint. I have proof – messages and photos – showing that she was in a relationship. I’m worried they’ll fire me. Will I lose my experience? Should I fight this or just let it go?

It is important to cooperate with your employer’s investigation but protect yourself. You should provide your evidence and consult with a lawyer to understand your rights and options. While a false accusation can be harmful, your experience is not automatically lost, and you have the right to challenge any unfair action.
