I served in South Central Railway between February 2014 and April 2016. My resignation was submitted on April 1st and approved on April 16th, the same day I left service. Since the Seventh Pay Commission for central government employees was effective from January 1st, 2016, am I entitled to receive salary arrears for the period between January 1st and April 16th, 2016? Additionally, am I eligible for the uniform allowance for the financial year 2015-2016 (disbursed in May 2016)? Finally, am I entitled to receive the Railway Bonus for the financial year 2015-2016 and the arrears for the year 2014-2015, as I was in service during those periods? Under Indian law, you are entitled to salary arrears for the period between January 1st and April 16th, 2016, as the Seventh Pay Commission was effective from that date. You are also eligible for the uniform allowance for the financial year 2015-2016, as you were in service during that period. Lastly, you are entitled to receive the Railway Bonus for the financial year 2015-2016 and arrears for 2014-2015, as you were in service during both these periods.
