I quit my government job two years ago. I submitted a simple resignation letter at the time. Now, I’ve received a notice saying I’m absent from work. Can I rejoin my old job, even though I’m working elsewhere now? Please guide me on how I can rejoin.

You can’t automatically rejoin your old government job. You need to apply formally through the proper channels, as if you were a new applicant. Your previous resignation and the absence notice create a new set of circumstances, so your application will be assessed based on current policies and vacancies.
