I joined a software company and didn’t take any leave in my first month. They deducted about 1500 rupees from my salary, and when I asked why, they said they were investigating. The second month, on the 9th, I couldn’t come to work and let them know. They suspended me without pay and told me to respond by the 19th. Just now, I realized they haven’t paid my last month’s salary, which was supposed to be deposited as a cheque. I’m ready to take legal action. Is this fair?

Your employer’s actions seem unfair and potentially illegal. Deductions from salary without proper justification are prohibited, and suspension without pay requires a valid reason. Furthermore, delaying salary payment without a valid explanation can be a violation of labor laws. You should consult a lawyer to understand your rights and options for legal action.
