Under Indian law, you have legal recourse. Your husband’s refusal to provide financial support and his controlling behavior violate your rights as a wife. You can file for maintenance under Section 125 of the CrPC, and seek a divorce based on cruelty and desertion. Consult a lawyer to understand your specific rights and legal options.
