Under Indian law, gifts exchanged during an engagement are considered conditional upon the marriage taking place. You can legally request the return of the gifts, including gold, jewelry, and cash, as the marriage is no longer going ahead. However, the legal process might be complex and involve negotiations or legal proceedings.
