Indian law does not specifically address “cheating” in a romantic relationship. However, you could potentially pursue legal action for the theft of your phone, which could include charges of criminal misappropriation. You may also have grounds to file a civil suit for damages caused by his deceit, but it would be advisable to consult with an attorney to explore your options and the strength of your case.
