We’re planning to get married under the Special Marriage Act, as we’re both Hindu. Can you tell us what steps we need to take to register our marriage officially?

You need to submit a notice of intended marriage to the Marriage Registrar at least 30 days before the marriage date. After the marriage ceremony, you need to register it within 30 days by submitting an application along with the required documents, including marriage certificate and witness statements.
