I secured admission to the LLB course at Law Centre 1, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi for the 2016-19 academic year. I applied for withdrawal from the program on January 18, 2017. While Law Centre 1 returned my original matriculation and undergraduate marksheets, they are refusing to return my original undergraduate provisional degree certificate. This certificate is rightfully mine, and the University has no authority to keep it. I am seeking legal advice to file a writ petition in the Delhi High Court against the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi.

Under Indian law, your original undergraduate provisional degree certificate is your property. The University’s refusal to return it after your withdrawal from the LLB program is unjustified. Filing a writ petition in the Delhi High Court seeking the return of your certificate is a valid legal option.
