I recently changed my name and published it in the gazette. But CBSE rules now say I can’t change the name on my old certificates. Could this difference in names cause problems when applying for jobs? How can I fix this?

There’s no legal requirement for your educational certificates to reflect your changed name, as your gazette notification is the legal proof of your name change. However, some employers may prefer matching names across documents. You can apply for an affidavit declaring the name change and its reason, which can be submitted along with your certificates during job applications.
