I gave a 4 lakh advance for a power of attorney agreement. Neither the agreement nor the advance receipt is registered. Are these documents legally valid in India?

While the advance receipt is legally valid without registration, the power of attorney agreement requires registration under the Indian Registration Act, 1908. Since the agreement is unregistered, its enforceability in a court of law may be challenged.
