How do I update my passport with the correct birthplace? My birth certificate has the right date, but I need to change the location. The application says I need a court order from a First Class Judicial Magistrate or Sub-Divisional Magistrate if the change is more than 2 years old or if there are conflicting documents. I’m also changing the state on my passport. What specific documents do I need for this?

You will need to file a petition in the appropriate court (First Class Judicial Magistrate or Sub-Divisional Magistrate) for rectification of your birth certificate. This court order, along with your birth certificate, current passport, and proof of address, is required to update your passport with the correct birthplace and state.
