As a Hindu, I bought a property using my nickname 15 years ago. My voter ID and other documents were under that name. But a couple of years back, I changed everything to my real name. The property is still registered with the nickname. How do I change the name on the property deed now, especially since I don’t have any documents with the nickname anymore?

You’ll need to file a legal affidavit stating your nickname and real name are the same person. This, along with your current documents, will be presented in court to officially change the name on the property deed. It’s recommended to consult a lawyer for guidance and assistance with the legal process.
