My wife had an affair before we got married. I found pictures of her with another man and confronted her, but she denied it. I have proof of the affair. I want a divorce, but she’s refusing. My father recently passed away, and now she’s trying to get my property. We don’t have children, and she’s working while I’m unemployed. Can I claim maintenance even though she’s working? She also filed a false dowry complaint at the women’s cell.

In India, you can file for divorce based on adultery. The fact that your wife had an affair before marriage is grounds for divorce. You can also claim maintenance even though she’s working, but the court will consider her income and your unemployment. The false dowry complaint can be challenged, but it may be difficult to prove.
