My wife and I went through a divorce. She filed false cases against me and my family, demanding a monthly maintenance of ₹6,000. The problem is I only earn ₹6,000 a month, and I can’t even afford to support my parents. Later, we found out that she has a job earning ₹20,000 a month. Our lawyer said it’s too late to show this proof as the High Court already passed a judgment. Is there any other way I can avoid paying her this amount so I can support my family?

You can approach the High Court to appeal the judgment based on the newly discovered evidence of your wife’s income. Additionally, you can seek a modification of the maintenance order based on changed circumstances, specifically, the discovery of your wife’s employment and your inability to pay the current amount. The court will consider these factors and decide on the appropriate course of action.
