Under the Hindu Marriage Act, you can file for divorce after a year of marriage. However, if you can prove irretrievable breakdown of marriage, such as cruelty or adultery, a court may grant divorce before the one-year period. It’s advisable to consult a lawyer for specific advice and guidance.
