In India, a divorce can only be granted with mutual consent from both parties. The process can take anywhere from 6 months to several years. Call recordings and WhatsApp chats can be accepted as evidence in court, but you’ll need strong proof of dowry harassment, which can include financial demands, threats, and abuse.
