My husband and I signed a compromise agreement after I filed a case against him, promising to live together. The agreement didn’t mention anything about property. We jointly filed a petition in the High Court, which asked us to record our statements with the local magistrate. That same day, I had a property I live in transferred to my name because I was worried he might leave me again. We recorded our statements and the case was sent back to the High Court. But he left me and didn’t take our four-year-old son with him. What should I do now?

The compromise agreement, while not mentioning property, can be used to show your intention to reconcile. Since the case is back in High Court, you can petition the court to enforce the agreement and seek custody of your son. Additionally, you can file a separate case to establish your rights over the property transferred to your name, which may be challenged by your husband in future.
