My husband and I are separated, living with our 4-year-old son. He’s been hitting our son, and I’m worried about his safety. I need better care for my dialysis treatment, and my mother in a different city can provide that. I want to take our son with me and enrol him in a local school. But my husband won’t let me. Can I legally leave with my son without his permission? Should I file a police complaint first? I don’t want a divorce, just a chance to recover with my son by my side.
