My divorce case, filed in Bangalore in June 2014, was transferred to Agartala in February 2015 following a Supreme Court order. However, the Agartala court is unable to find the case details. My wife has since filed cases against me in Agartala for maintenance and restoration of conjugal rights. We’ve been living apart since 2011. What can I do in this situation?

You should immediately file an application in the Agartala court seeking a direction to locate the transferred case record. Simultaneously, file a caveat in the Agartala court to prevent any ex-parte orders being passed against you in the maintenance and restoration of conjugal rights cases. Furthermore, you can argue that since you have been living separately since 2011, the claim for restoration of conjugal rights is not maintainable.
