The Hindu Marriage Act does not apply to your marriage as you are both Christians. The Indian Christian Marriage Act governs Christian marriages in India. While Catholic doctrine generally prohibits divorce, under the Indian Christian Marriage Act, divorce is permissible on certain grounds. You should consult with a legal professional for specific advice on your situation.
