Indian law allows for divorce based on cruelty or harassment, which can include constant interference and undue influence by in-laws. You can file for divorce under the grounds of cruelty, citing your wife’s family’s behaviour as evidence. A court can issue a restraining order to protect your family from further harassment and ensure their safety.
