I got married in 2014. Recently, I found out my wife was already married when we wed. She filed for divorce, and the case was dismissed because neither of us appeared in court. Can I get a divorce and compensation for this situation?

Yes, you can file for divorce on grounds of your wife’s prior marriage. Since the previous divorce case was dismissed for non-appearance, it doesn’t affect your current claim. You may be eligible for compensation for emotional distress and financial losses due to her deception.
