As a working woman in Indore, I’m going through a separation from my husband. We own our house jointly, which he paid for, while I contributed to household expenses. I’ve moved out, but he’s still living there.
I’m wondering:
1. Should I file a separate partition suit to claim my half of the house, or will the court handle it as part of the divorce proceedings?
2. What’s the court fee for a partition suit – is it based on the property value or a fixed amount? I’m concerned about the legalities of his continued stay, given our joint ownership.
