A couple of weeks back, I stumbled upon an online forum where someone was selling laptops and mobile phones at a huge discount – almost 20-30% off the price. The seller had good reviews, so I decided to buy a laptop. It was selling for around ₹1.2 Lakhs at the store, but this person was selling it for ₹30,000. He only accepted bitcoins, so I exchanged my money and sent it to him. For two days, I kept asking him if he had ordered the laptop, but he kept saying it was delayed due to some technical issues. Then, he said he would give me a card to order the laptop myself as compensation. I used the card, and the order went through. But five days later, I read on the forum that the card was stolen.

You likely fell victim to a scam. Buying goods with cryptocurrency makes it difficult to track the seller and recover your money. The “compensation card” you received was likely stolen, making the transaction fraudulent. You should report the incident to the police and your bank to attempt to recover your funds and prevent further losses.
