Your friend’s actions are problematic. As a tenant, you have the right to see the rental agreement and understand the terms. Contacting the landlord directly and seeking clarification regarding the agreement and the notice to vacate is crucial. You should also discuss the issue with your friend and request the return of the agreement and the extra money he paid.
