My motorcycle was stolen four months ago and I’ve been trying to get a copy of the FIR report ever since. The police investigation was completed two months ago, but I’m still waiting for the report. I’m frustrated that I’m being kept in the dark about how and when I can get this report. Can you advise on how to write an RTI application to the court and what the fees are?

You can file an RTI application directly to the concerned Police Station seeking the FIR report. The RTI application should mention the date of theft, FIR number (if known), and your request for the copy of the FIR report. The application fee is INR 10.
