My laptop got stolen and the police officer didn’t even bother investigating before closing my complaint. What legal options do I have against this kind of injustice?

You can file a complaint against the police officer for dereliction of duty with the Superintendent of Police or the higher authority. You can also seek legal advice and file a writ petition in the High Court against the police’s inaction.
