In India, inter-caste marriages are legal and protected under the law. Your boyfriend’s family’s opposition does not negate your right to marry him. However, his reluctance to stand up for you and his blaming you are concerning. You have the right to choose your partner, and his decision should not be solely based on his family’s approval.
