I filed a case in the Patna High Court in September 2013 to get an FIR against others dismissed. In July, the lower court ruled that my case would be closed because I hadn’t gotten a stay order from the High Court. My lawyer tried to get the High Court to reconsider, but they wouldn’t accept the request. Now the lower court is about to finalize my case. What should I do to get a stay order from the High Court? Please advise as soon as possible.

Since the lower court has already ruled on your case and the High Court declined your lawyer’s request to reconsider, getting a stay order is unlikely. You may need to seek legal advice from your lawyer about appealing the lower court’s decision to the High Court. Consider appealing the decision and requesting a stay order during the appeal process, explaining the potential harm of proceeding without the stay.
