My company, with around 180 employees, is shutting down after five years. They’ve announced this month will be our last. Is this legally allowed with such short notice? What rights do we, as employees, have in this situation?

Indian law allows companies to shut down, but they must provide a notice period based on employee tenure, typically a month for every year worked, with a minimum of one month. You have the right to receive your full salary, pending dues, and severance pay as per your employment contract and applicable labor laws.
