I received a job offer from a company on July 27th and accepted it. They initially asked me to join on August 16th, but later changed it to August 17th. Due to a health issue, I couldn’t join on the 17th and informed the HR, requesting a one-day delay to August 18th. They agreed. However, when I arrived on the 18th, the HR said they had revoked the offer because I wasn’t “interested” in joining. Can I file a complaint against them in the Labour Court? I need guidance on what steps I can take.

You might have grounds to file a complaint in the Labour Court. The company’s revocation of the offer, after accepting your request for a one-day delay, could be considered unfair and in breach of the implied contract formed when you accepted the offer. You should consult a lawyer to assess your specific case and proceed accordingly.
