Under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, you have a right to claim compensation for delayed possession. You can legally challenge the 5 rupees per square foot offer and seek a higher compensation based on the actual delay and your financial losses. Consult a lawyer to understand your specific legal rights and options.
