Hey, I’m a techie in Bangalore, and I paid Rs.2,200 to an astrologer in Delhi for a turquoise locket he promised to send. It’s been almost two months, and he keeps making excuses! First, he claimed the courier company lost it, then that it’s coming back to him, and now he’s not even taking my calls. I even recorded our conversations on my phone. How do I get my money back or at least the locket? It feels like a scam.

You can file a consumer complaint with the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) or a state-level consumer forum in Delhi, where the astrologer is located. The recorded conversations can serve as evidence. You can also lodge a police complaint if you suspect fraud, but it’s unlikely to yield a refund.
