A friend told me that teachers working in private universities can’t approach consumer courts because they’re considered service providers. Is that true? I’m curious to know if they have any recourse.

Teachers in private universities are considered service providers under the Consumer Protection Act, 1986. However, they can still approach consumer courts to address grievances related to unfair trade practices, deficiency in service, or exploitation by the university.
