Thinking of renting out my apartment in our society on a daily basis. Any idea if the society can legally stop me from doing so, especially if all the paperwork is in order? Also, what’s the process for getting the required legal approvals if this is allowed?

Indian law doesn’t explicitly prohibit daily rentals. However, your society’s bylaws might have restrictions. You’ll need to check the bylaws and seek approval from the society’s managing committee. If there’s no restriction and the paperwork is in order, you should be able to rent out your apartment daily.
